Our Board

The mission of PBNB is to promote and assist in the growth of pickleball in NB so everyone from youths to seniors have the opportunity to play organized pickleball recreationally and competitively.

Alden started playing pickleball in 2016.  When asked what he loves most about pickleball, he responded with, “Everything! Pickleball is fun, competitive, great exercise, and a very social sport.”

Alden’s goal is to help make New Brunswick the best place to play pickleball in the world.

Jean-Yves Duguay

Jean-Yves started playing pickleball in 2015.  When asked what he loves most about pickleball, he said that he enjoys the technical and strategic aspects of the game.

Jean-Yves’ priority is getting pickleball into schools across the province and adding the sport to the Jeux de l’Acadie.

Richard started to play pickleball in 2016 after he has been convinced by his wife to “give it a try”. Since then, he has been completely addicted to the sport convincing co-workers, friends, and family members to join in the fun. He loves the feeling when he makes a perfect shot. His goal within PBNB is to help promote and elevate the professionnalism of the sport of Pickleball in New Brunswick.

Brenda started playing pickleball in 2017 with some tennis friends, who encouraged her to try and she was hooked!

Brenda wants to help promote the growth of the sport throughout NB and to provide support to the various clubs in our province.

Marie Camille Roussel

Marie Camille started to play pickleball during COVID in May 2020.  Having never been an athletes and was avoiding Phys ed. classes at school, it is a great accomplishment for her to be able to play pickleball at a high level. She worked hard and has a passion for the sport. Her goal is to develop pickleball within the 49 year-old and under people. She also want to connect with all the players around the province and offer support to clubs and help players create new clubs. 

Denis Ross

Director of referee

Denis started to play pickleball in 2019. He likes that sport because it helps him stay active and he likes meeting new people. Denis is a Level 2 ref. Denis used to work as at RCMP. He was also a girl-hockey coach and recruiter for Université de Moncton in Moncton. His goal with PBNB is to trained more Level 1 and Level 2 referees and educate players on the rules as well as encouraging players to take the online quiz for players.  Denis has had the chance to referee at National and Provincial Championships.

Gabriel Fournier

Director of tournament

Gabriel started to play pickleball in 2018. He have played many different sports at a high-level like handball, volley-ball, soccer, hockey and tennis. After many injuries from years of tennis, he started to play pickleball and got hooked. He is very competitive and likes to meet new people. His goal as director of tournaments is to offer support to tournament director. He is also responsible to take bid for the provincial tournament.
